What Belle is

Belle isn't a chat box bolted onto the platform. She is the AI inside it, and she reads the same data you do: bookings, customers, staff, checkout, finances and contracts.

That's the whole point of keeping everything in one place. An AI that only sees the calendar can tell you Thursday looks thin. An AI that sees the calendar, the customer history and the consents can tell you who you're allowed to contact — and write the draft.

Every record she mentions can also be opened straight away: the customer to their profile, the booking to the calendar, the contract to Documents. You should never have to go hunting for what she just talked about.

What she does

Ask her the way you'd ask a colleague who happens to have read everything:

• "Maja is off sick tomorrow." Belle reads her day, looks for gaps in her colleagues' diaries, suggests which bookings can be moved — and writes the text message drafts for those who need a new time.
• "The machine in room 2 has broken down." Belle reads the resource's service contract first: warranty, response time and where to report the fault. Then she pulls up the bookings affected.
• "Thursday looks empty — what do we do?" Belle counts the gaps, goes through which customers should have rebooked by now, and filters on marketing consent.
• "Is everything back for today?" Belle checks today's hire-outs against the returns that have been signed off and tells you what's missing.
• "What does next week look like?" Number of bookings, occupancy, and which day is thinnest.
• "What do our contracts cost?" The monthly total, split across premises, systems and other — and which ones renew soon.

What she never does

What Belle doesn't do matters just as much as what she does:

• She sends nothing herself. Texts, emails and campaigns become drafts for you to read and approve.
• She doesn't guess. If she doesn't know, she says so — an honest "I don't know" beats a figure that merely looks plausible.
• She doesn't expose your customers. Names and personal data are replaced with aliases before anything reaches the AI provider, and the key stays with us.
• She gives no medical, legal or financial advice, and she doesn't review other systems.

Why we built her cautious

An AI that pretends to know is more dangerous than one that speaks up. A made-up phone number, a guessed figure in a VAT report or a campaign that went out by mistake costs more than the time it would have saved.

So Belle would rather answer less, and the approval is yours. She prepares — you decide.

The difference from ChatGPT and Claude

Belle doesn't replace them. The difference is what she works against.

A general model can do almost anything — but only if you paste it in. You export a list, strip out what's sensitive, paste it, and do the whole thing again next week. Belle reads the data where it lives, and it's always up to date.

So you don't have to choose. Do use a general model for text and ideas. Ask Belle about your business.

Soon you won't even have to switch windows: Belle can be connected to your own ChatGPT or Claude, so the question is asked where you already sit while the answer is built on your own business. The connection is an offer, not a requirement — it is included in the licence, entirely optional, and assumes you have a subscription with the provider yourself.

One more thing, for the avoidance of doubt: the Belle who answers here on the website has no business data at all. She can only tell you what Bellebook does. Only inside the platform, with your login, does she see your figures.

What's being built now

Two things are on the way. We won't put dates on them until they work:

• The AI receptionist answers the phone when you can't. She takes the call, answers questions, books and rebooks straight into the calendar — on your rules.
• A chat for your customers: a Belle facing outwards who answers questions about opening hours, prices and "can I change my time?" — and books there and then.

What Belle costs

Belle AI is always free to ask. Ask as many questions as you like.

AI credits are used for uploads to Documents, images in the Image Studio and the AI receptionist — and 30 are included every month.

New functionality is included in your licence. If we extend Belle, you get it at no extra cost.
