What it takes. And what never leaves Bellebook.
The connection is optional and included in your licence. Beyond Bellebook you need your own AI subscription and someone on your side to switch it on.
What you need
A Bellebook account and your own subscription with the provider you already use.

- ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise
- or Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise
- An administrator who switches the connection on for you
What is shared — and only when you ask
The connection answers one question at a time. It reads nothing in the background and stores nothing with the provider.

- Only for whoever is signed in, with the same permissions as in Bellebook
What never leaves Bellebook
A few things are excluded whatever you ask about, and whoever is asking.
- Card details and payments
- Health data and clinical notes
- Personal identity numbers
- Files in Documents you have not pointed to yourself
How to get started
- 01Switch the connection on in Bellebook
An administrator opens Settings → AI connections and creates a connection. You get an address and a key.
- 02Add it in ChatGPT or Claude
In ChatGPT: Settings → Security and sign-in → Developer mode. In Claude: Connectors → Add custom connector. Plus and Pro respectively are enough — Team is not required.
- 03Ask the first question
Sign in with your Bellebook account when prompted. From then on your own AI answers from your own business.
Common questions
- Do we have to have ChatGPT or Claude?
- No. Belle lives in Bellebook and is always free to ask. The connection is for those of you who pay for your own AI subscription anyway and would rather stay there.
- Do they train on our data?
- On a personal account: turn off “Improve the model for everyone” in the settings and nothing is used for training. On a company account the provider's business agreement applies, and it never trains on your data.
- What does the provider see?
- Only what is needed to answer the question, with names swapped for aliases. OpenAI and Anthropic are independent parties — the subscription is your agreement with them, not with us — and card details and health data are never shared.
- Can we switch it off again?
- Yes, whenever you like. An administrator removes the connection in Bellebook and it stops working immediately. Nothing needs to be done at the provider.
